Art Contest Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility and Submission
The art contest is open to all artists aged 18 years and older. Artists who are under the age of 18 may also participate with the written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Each artist may submit up to three artworks, each represented by up to three images, for consideration in the contest. Submitted artworks must be the original work of the artist, and artists must have the right to represent and sell the submitted artworks.
2. Voting Process and Winner Benefits
Submitted artworks will be displayed on the contest website for public voting. The artwork with the highest number of votes at the end of the voting period will be declared the winner. The winning artist will be awarded the prize that is outlined on the contest page.
3. Availability for Purchase
By entering the contest, artists agree to make their submitted artworks available for purchase in Gallery B’s online art gallery. All artworks submitted to the contest will automatically be listed for sale in Gallery B’s online art gallery. Once received, Gallery B will reach out to the artist to finalize the details of the submitted artworks and agree upon a fair sales commission. In the event that the details cannot be finalized for any reason, or a commission agreement cannot be reached, the contest entry will be canceled, and the artwork will not be eligible for the contest.
4. Submission Form and Artist Information
Artists must complete the provided submission form for the artwork they wish to enter by the deadline indicated on the contest page. The submission form will collect initial information about the artist, including but not limited to the artist’s name, contact information, and images of the artwork. Additionally, the form will collect specifications of the submitted artworks, such as artwork titles, medium, dimensions, etc.
5. Ownership and Rights:
Artists retain full ownership and copyright of their submitted artworks. By participating in the contest, artists grant Gallery B the right to display and promote their artworks on the contest website and Gallery B’s online art gallery, as well as in associated promotional materials and social media posts.
6. Cancellation of Contest Entry
If the details of the artworks cannot be finalized, or if an agreement on the sales commission cannot be reached, the contest entry will be canceled, and the artwork will not be eligible for the contest.
7. Agreement to Terms
By submitting artworks to the contest, artists acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Gallery B reserves the right to modify or update these terms at any time, and any changes will be posted on the contest website.
8. Relationship with Main Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions for the art contest are supplementary to the main site’s Terms and Conditions, which govern the use of Gallery B’s website and services. By participating in the art contest, artists also agree to abide by the main site’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy in their entirety.
In the event of any inconsistency between these art contest Terms and Conditions and the main site’s Terms and Conditions, the art contest Terms and Conditions shall prevail solely in relation to the art contest. For all other aspects, the main site’s Terms and Conditions will apply.
